Events

The NIGF holds at least three events per year across different locations in the North of England and Scotland. These events are open to anyone working in Data Protection and IT Security and provide a forum for networking and learning more about how other organisations are implementing improvements in this area.

Events usually last half a day and are themed around a specific topic area. In addition, online webinars and networking opportunities will also take place between face to face events.

Upcoming events

Here’s a list of our planned events. Seats are limited so if you would like to attend, sign up by clicking on the Eventbrite link (when it is available) in the event description.

Online Event: IASME Governance and Cyber Essentials Certification

Online Event: IASME Governance and Cyber Essentials Certification

Thursday the 29th October 2020

The Northern Information Governance Forum is pleased to welcome Peter Loomes from the IASME Consortium who will be giving members the chance to find out more about the IASME Governance standard and CyberEssentials certification and how these can support improved governance and accountability within organisations and potential benefits and challenges of implementation. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions about these standards and also discuss how these might work in their own organisation and share their experiences of implementing these or other standards in the past.

If you would like to attend this event for data protection and IT Security professionals in the North of England and Scotland, which will be held at 2pm on the 29th October and are not already a member of NIGF, then please get in touch via contact@nigf.org.uk to be added to our members list.
